My 5 chickens make a mess too LOL. But i figured painting would at least protect the plywoodI mean, it’s true, I have over 200 chickens, mixed in with 10 geese and seven ducks, with that many it’s kind of hard to worry about painting the inside of your coop, though I do know that some people have pet flocks on here and have time to worry about such things![]()
it’s extra work for no extra return. My 5 chickens make a mess too LOL. But i figured painting would at least protect the plywood![]()
In all seriousness though, if the plywood is pressure-treated, you should be OK not to paint itMy 5 chickens make a mess too LOL. But i figured painting would at least protect the plywood
My boyfriend builds and i paint, i figure it’s equal![]()
That’s why i painted my other coop, I wanted to protect the plywood more! Mine is light gray inside and a darker gray outside:I painted, but only because I didn't use pressure treated wood. I know the inside *should* stay dry, but I didn't trust my building skills enough to know for sure if it would work out. It has stayed dry, but I'm still glad I painted it. It's light grey (same as exterior), and it does brighten it up in there. Not that the chickens care...
