My first thought was blue roan but I wonder if there isn't some grey combining with it. The roans I've had were born with speckles on their rump and roaned around the tail and base of the ears first. This is a bay roan 1 day old that we know has no other genes impacting the white hairs
You can see the lighter rump with white hairs along with the base of the tail and otherwise even color.
This is a month or 2 later
From a distance she looked like she was going bald around her ears.
2-3months old
She roaned up the side of her face some so a completely solid head is not a requirement but majority of the head still remains the base color.
