    He almost looks Blue Roan, but more than likely a grey.

    what colors are the foal's parents?

    It's hard for me to say, as he still has the baby coat on part of his haunch and part of his belly. If that sheds out to the same color as on the rest of the shedded areas, maybe he is just going grey. What he's shedding looks a little more brown. Horses often grey out from a brownish baby coat or a chestnut or a rosy color.

    Usually the first place a gray horse grays is on the face-I see a dark face, so my guess is blue/black roan.

    That was giving me pause too, that and I can't see under the remaining brown fur, LOL.

    Also, black horses are usually a mousy-grayish color. They blacken as they get older.

    If you don't see any gray in the head in the next few months, it will be blue roan
