what color is this?

I purchased this from a silkie breeder as a purebreed black pullet, but it now has reddish purple wattles and he now crows. He doesnt look pure to me know, never seen this color black with silver neck. got it at about 6-7 wks he is now 5-6mos. He does have correct feet and legs and walnut cone. I think Pepper is very handsome

He is all bkack except for the silver neck and on his wings, I thought partridge was red , brown,black?

I would say black with silver leakage...I'm learning that true black roosters are hard to find and that this type of leakage is not unusual to get.

I would really love to get so babies from him as he is the only black I have right now but I only have a white , buff hen avalible right now . Could my white hen throw black chicks from him? Still learning genetics, Otherwise I will buy a black hen
