Well now you may be on to something. Wellies do look very much like brown leghorns in their color but Wellies lay a very dark brown egg. I call them chocolate eggs.

Brown Leghorns are stripey. Misidentifications DO happen, though.
Well let's just say that when I ordered 100 wellies year before last, I opened the box and was beyond mad because I thought they sent me 100 brown leghorns. I thought it so much that I called them very upset and ended up sending an apology letter about 2 months later
Now that was a bigger goof than Kooshie's typo earlier! Either way you will get a nice egg and a full tummy. If they grow up, lay white eggs and are very slender in shape then its brown leghorns and if it grows up lays brown eggs and is kinda boxy shaped then its a wellie possibly.
