Ah got it! It sounded like they were trying to choose between the two at first!

While the roosters coloring is not entirely clear in this photo, it appears to be a male with a single barring fene, when crossed over a solid female like the blue andalusion shown you should receive 25% single barred male, 25% barred female and the rest of the chicks would be solid colored.
