What color silkies?

They look like buffs with a bit of smut on 'em rather than reds. Reds as usually , well, redder. The one on the right might have some partridge, but partridge silkies are usually a greyish-brown rather than a reddish brown. They sure are cute, though.

Oh I could kiss you! *just kidding* If you could show me any pics of yours (even now grown up) I'd love it!

Mine are about 17 weeks old now. I gave them to my daughter so I don't have recent pics. I do have a bad pic of them, they are in the background behind my white crested black polish pullet...

here it is...I will try and get my daughter to get a pic of them now. I know I have a better one, I just can't find it

To compare, here is the partridge silkie that I got from Ideal....

Some would say that they are buff, I was told that they were red...

even if mine ended up the same color as your "reds" i would be happy. I just don't want partridge. now your partridge looks more like what i would expect a gray silkie (hatchery quality) to look like. I actually like it.

I need to find a pic of the partridge when she was a couple days old. She was absolutely the cutest partridge peep! But, she was definitely a partridge! We kept her because of her uniqueness. T
the rest of my hatchery silkies I gave to my daughter.

The red/buffs turned out very nice for hatchery silkies and my daughter just loves them

Here's a few more pics that I found. You can see that mine looked a lot like yours when they were little. You can also pick out the partridge...

I can't believe they were once this little
