What color to paint it - my new coop struggle!

I’m gonna have to come in and stand up for painting the coop white I love a white coop! Ours is white i don’t notice the dirt too much. You can see that it gets pretty dirty around the pop door. But more importantly I chose white bc it reflects the sun, so it won’t get too hot in the summer. We also have 8 plus months of winter, but I find it more important to try to keep them cool than warm.

I absolutely LOVE a white coop with the black accents! Such a classic, pretty look all around, and your light fixture is perfection!!

Thank you! The light fixture is solar powered and motion activated. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made for the girls. Lights up at night then clicks on brighter with movement (I got it hoping it’d scare away anything that comes around at night). It’s been going for 3 years now without issues. Got it on Amazon.

Oh yes, thank you! My brother painted that for me. It was a surprise coordination between him and my fiance lol we can’t have roosters in town, so figure the ladies should have a little something to look at instead lol

I got my coop in colors that blend in. Sage green with dark green trim. How weird am I?? My last coop was purple with white trim and before that a buttery yellow with rusty red trim. I like that my new coop is a little camouflaged under the trees. That way I don’t have to think about whether it matches the house haha

I am still leaning heavily toward something in the blue/peach family.

Makes sense; blue and orange are complementary colors, which makes our brains happy. (As do adjacent and other pairings!)

My current coop is a sagey green color, so I am right there with you! I really think you cant go wrong with green, as it's the most natural color there is!
