And I like the first

, although neither would be my choice if I had unlimited choices. Is that your house, or just sample colours? Do you have any landscaping or fencing or swing set or other yard items that would match or contrast better with one colour than the other? How about any neighboring houses? How will each colour fit in? Will the trim for either choice be white?

Go to Home Depot or a paint store and look at their paint booklets--they will have examples of various style houses with different paint schemes. It should give you some ideas to work with.

that's my house. White trim with either color makes it look very stark, so we though a pale pale blue trim... we have the chicken coop which is weathered gray wood, and a weather'd gray swingset... so it doesn't matter. Pale colors of house make it stand out starkly against the yard and trees, dark colors kind of get TOO dark since the roof is dark, dark gray shingles. so I was in the green or blue neighborhood, but the green

and the brown and green

just don't seem to be nearly as HAPPY as I want things to look. I am going for creative, happy, but not too crazy ...

1st. Everything here is all desert-y and washed out. If I see another muted pink house, I may barf. Go bold.

ETA: There is a house down the street that painted the house Center-strip yellow. No joking. They used excess street paint from a street painting company.
