What colors will these Silkies be?!

maybe? i hope it is lavender to they are so pretty
I have two fellow Silkie breeders that are willing to trade some babies for babies! Is that a good idea? How do i keep lines pure? I’m sorry! I’ve done standard breeds for two years! Silkies are still a little new to me!

You can see the colors better! The two light colored partridge are my favorites! The darker partridge color ones don’t look brown and tan, they look gray/blue or silver?? The little white does not look white to me either!!

The partridge color on the back of this one is my favorite!

okay (sorry it is almost bed time in NZ and i am writing a book at the same time) you probably will need to start with a coop for each (blood) line/strain and mark each chick that comes from each coop so you know (or just keep them in different brooders)
I’m sorry!! I appreciate your help and advice though!!! Would you do a coop for each color or keep it mixed up? Can my 2 week old babies go in the same coop and breed? Can my hatchlings all breed together? Do i need to mix it all up??? Lol I’m sorry!! Still just. Little confused about how to do it!!

that could be a good idea if you want moor colours or just want to get moor silkies from different blood lines.
its okay no need to be sorry :)

its okay . thanks :). i would do a coop for each colour that you want to produce be cos there are three kinds of genes (i guess thats what you call it but there are lots of genes) dominant co-dominant and recessive ( i will call them DD Cc and rr be cos i am to tired to right out all of them over and over) DD will show up all ways, if you cross a DD with a Cc or a rr it will be the DD gene that will show up.
if you cross a Cc with a rr it will be the Cc that you will see and if you cross a rr with a rr (for example a lavender with a rr white (not the DD kind) you will get a cross or just whatever the odds end up giving you so in this case ether white or lavender)

yes the chicks (when old enough) can breed with the parents (this being called line breeding)

(sorry if a made a typo)
