I have a 18 week old Pekin bantam cockerel and I’m wondering what colour he is
When he was young he appeared buff mottled, then he lost his spots and now he looks like this
What colour is he?

I think he's just a poor quality buff. Buff is a combination of a few different genes and I'm going to guess he's lacking some enhancers. I had a Black Brahma with a similar situation in terms of having white down and he was lacking melanization which may have been an attempt to keep the legs yellow. @Amer, am I correct in labeling him poor quality buff?

I think he is probably buff carrying the mottling gene, considering he was mottled when younger.
The mottling gene is supposed to be recessive but in birds heterozygous for mottling, mottling can still be seen in juvenile plumage, however as you can see here, occasionally, sparse mottling will show up in the adult plumage.

Interesting, he has looked so different every month
