Hi all back once again.

this is my third (and HOPEFULLY final) post regarding Cookie, one of my stunted quail.

He’s pretty much gotten all of his plumage sans for a few around his eyes, but I’m hoping that’s finally enough to determine just what exactly he is. Diluted pharaoh, german pastel, Egyptian, something else? I haven’t a clue.

Apparently some lines only exist in some countries so he’s from the UK if that helps at all. (He’s absolutely a roo now as he’s started crowing now).

He's a moonridge blue! It's a colour variation of Coturnix bred by Moonridge farm near Exeter. I've got 2 myself (a roo and a chick) but it's really hard to find pictures online.

Edit: Both my blues were the smallest chicks of their brood and the adult roo I've got is still the smallest of the coop.

This is painfully ironic because I just bought some of their hens today! And I saw their ad for their blue line and went "so THAT'S what Cookie is!!" Cookie however is my largest quail out of everyone haha.

Really cool! I have been there twice for hens and love their farm. Unfortunately I have now moved abroad so I need to find a new source for hens.
