What colour runner ducklings?

Hi there

We have just hatched our first ducklings-Mustard and Nutmeg! They are both runners from a mixed colour flock but we were wondering if anyone has any idea what they will feather up as? we also have 6 eggs from the same source under our female runner who has gone broody and sitting very well for the last 3 weeks!!...fingers crossed...

This is 8days old, Mustard in front seems typical mallard/trout maybe? but Nutmeg is a different shade and different markings?


Mustard is the lower duckling and Nutmeg is the taller


Just had to add their first little swim at day 4!

Can't help you on colour babe but just wanted to say........beautiful babies you have, probably they will be a chocolate and white?

Very cute. I have ducklings hatching as I type this, Indian Runners also from a mixed color flock and Pekins. So far 2 Runners have hatched. I am very excited. I hope you post more pics of your ducklings as they grow. If you don't mind I can post pics of mine and you can maybe help guess their colors also.
