his mother and father are both fawn quail..but this chick has no stripes? or it will be developing in a week? btw she hatched this morning all alone again

What so you mean by Fawn. Fawn is the most confusing expression in relation to quail.
It is the naming of the gene responsible for Manchurian/Italian color.
Also it is used for coloring wich is Cinnamon like.

But the chick doesn't look like Italian

Btw ... I see stripes, not very defined, but there.
