What cool mutations or recessive traits have showed up in your flock?

Well I got one for you. LOL I just now hatched a chick and upon further inspection its so tiny and so yellow and so orange and appears to be a bantam cochin. How ever I dont own any bantam Cochins I dont own any light colored cochins the only Possible parents could be these guys.

so the only 2 possibilitys is my brassy back cochin as the sir and a blue or black hen as the mom producing 100% yellow chick. or Black cochin roo over Blue black or Golden laced hens any thoughts? I will get a pic right up in a bit.

Here is a better pic of the true Mottled. The crazy looking one is an Exchequer. My true Mottled started out jet Black and then molted and turned into a Mottled.

Here is the Blue hen who is the mother to the Blue Red pullet in the pic above. I also have a Black Red Orp.
This hen started out looking like a Splash. I was told to cull her. But threw her in with my BO/Blk cock. He was my experiment from last season to see IF I could get the width from my original Buff Orp hens lines. So, this girl got to stay and I will not change one thing this year.
I guess this Blue is ALMOST like a Blue Mottled. Don't know really what else to call her. I still call her a Splash.

When I was breeding wyandotte bantams we got a nice barred bird from our whites and a cuckoo from our solid duns. Other than that we just got the basic BBR birds from crele or feathers on the legs in some but nothing really cool looking

Hi! Some girls that look *similar* to mille fleur spontaneously appeared from my mottled Cochin pen.

Not this season...but last Fall I had two White Pyncheon chicks hatch from a Mille fleur Pyncheon pen...I'll breed those two together this year....
