I have a blue swedish duck that is a little over a year...I found her in the pool...unable to get out on her own....she was totally soaked...I got her out and she doesn't seem to have any injuries...she is fine walking and eating with the other ducks...her feathers do look a little off...it's hard to explain...they just look different than usual...they look rougher like maybe some are missing on her wings....my other ducks...their feathers just seem to flow along their body...Any ideas....

Could you please post a pic? In the meantime, did you take steps to put a ramp or something so she can be certain to get in and out okay?

There are tons of things that can destroy a bird's feathers, from mites to malnutrition. Or it could just be that she couldn't get out, panicked, and flapped like a maniac, wrecking her plumage in the process. So any info you have is appreciated.

Oh. Um...okay. Uh, you're already on the computer, you sure you can't just snap a quick pic? I mean, how is she doing? Is she dry? Does she pick at her feathers any? Eating, pooping, etc all normal?

I have yet to be able to get a picture to post...I took several..but am having trouble getting them from my phone to the computer..she is dry and she acts totally normal...just like the other...eating ... pooping and foraging...they are in a very large fenced area as they had started wandering toward the road..

One possibility with females is egg yolk peritonitis. It can go on for months without symptoms, and it is serious, and requires antibiotics. A good duck vet is best, but you could consider this.
