I had a Broad Breasted White turkey go missing without any signs yesterday. He was roughly four months old and rather large. He disappeared without a trace within the span of roughly two hours. It was in the middle of the day, around 3-4 pm.
Considering he is large, usually didn't wander far from home, and seemed completely healthy earlier in the day, I am a bit confused. We walked all around our property and didn't see any sign of him whatsoever. The chickens and the other turkey (whom he usually hung out with) seemed completely unharmed/unworried, which is odd, as they usually act different after a predator attack.
I am wondering what predator could have gone off with an entire turkey and not left any signs, or if I am looking at a situation where he may have just died of natural causes (due to awful BBW genetics) or if a neighbor (I have sketchy neighbors) could have stolen him?
