What could this be?

I purchased this Easter egger cross rooster and he’s about 9 months old. The woman i received him from has very nice birds and asked if I wanted to have him cause she knows I’ve been needed an Easter egger but he’s been crossed with something else and I don’t know what?! He has blue green legs a single comb white earlobes some Easter egger coloration and a blue purple and green tint to his feathers. Any ideas? If any more pictures are needed I’d gladly supply them!

It's almost impossible to say what breeds he is a mix of. I'm not sure he's a first generation EE cross. EEs usually have beards/muffs and pea combs. He's clean faced (beards/muffs are incompletely dominant) and single combed (a recessive trait). I suspect he is a mix of mixed breeds with potentially EE in there somewhere.

If you were you interested in an EE male for the potential of a blue egg gene, I doubt he carries it.

Well I’m not too worried about the egg gene cause if he has white ear lobes doesn’t that mean he’s a white egg layer? So I figured he was somewhere far off the EE spectrum but I thought since he has white earlobes I could still use him to breed with cause he’d still be able to let the babies have blue eggs and green if he had the white layer gene right? Also he is very pretty. I also have an EE that has no beard but lays blue eggs?

Possibly. It’s a mix. Olive Eggers don’t breed true as far as I know

Well I think this will be a very cute experiment to do! I will set some eggs tonight and see what the outcome is. I will post back on the thread the beards and the comb and leg color and all that jazz. I will set a blue egg a green and one that is in between at least two of each color.
