Three days ago I started adding a squirt of "Kickin' Chickin" oil supplement to my flocks feed. It came in a plastic bottle with a screw-on, pop-up plastic cap, and an outer snap-on plastic cap.
The first morning after I noticed that the outer cap was missing. This morning the screw-on plastic cap was missing, too!
My coop is racoon-proof, but squirrels, mice, snakes, etc., are able to enter during the day.
I can't believe that a squirrel would have the kind of intelligence and/or dexterity needed to figure out and then open two kinds of caps.
Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, figured out what creature was involved?
In the meantime, I've poured the oil into a glass bottle with a metal screw cap.
Thanks,
M
