I have ee's I bought from the feed store this year. 2 of them have no muff. I also have one blue ameraucana hen who has no muff. I wanted to keep her so she went in the main flock to be used as a laying hen instead of a breeder. So they may not all have muffs if crossed with something else or it's a genetic fault somewhere in the bloodline.
