Great build!! You're girls will be so happy there. I hope you dry out soon so you can finish it.

Thanks! I thought about it and made the decision that a cement floor would be the easiest to clean and wouldnt rot or stay wet and all that. It going to be great and it didnt cost as much as I thought it would. We had all the wood to make the form. We bought 8x8x16 block and put them up and used sakrete to cement them together. Then we put the forms together, using stakes and 2x6x12. Then poored in the comcrete. Total it cost around 300 for everything. I was thinking it might cost around 500. And if we had had the time t do it all together it would have only taken about a day and a half. Simple!

Haha! I was thinking the same thing. It would be great to have no worries except to lay eggs, poo, eat, and sleep. It is pretty much dried now but I work tomorrow so no time to work on it then.

So, the coop is getting worked on today, by my parents though. I will be gone most all day. Anyway, I will ask my mom if she could periodically take pics of it as they build. If not or if she forgets(most likely the second, you just dont think of things like that when you are busy building) i will take pics when I get home and post them. This is the most exciting coop build I have ever had. I am excited for my little girls. I am hoping they will be very happy. Oh and we have decided that we are putting fans in there for the summer to circulate the air, and also some heaters for the winter. Want to keep my girls happy.
