So my wife and I have been talking about setting up a backyard coop for years. Ironically, very seriously this weekend.

Well a little while ago we found this chicken running around the drive-in of McDonalds. She is super tame and almost let me just walk up to her and grab her. Anyway I just clipped her and will be off to the local feed store in the AM. She has made the dog house her new home. Time to start making the coop I had previously reached.

BTW, her name is McNugget. The people at McDonald's were trying to catch her and claimed they would cook her...

! She looks to me like she could be a New Hampshire Red...my NHRs are very nice birds and great layers. Best to you in your chicken adventures!

That's just my guess!

She looks like a Rhode Island Red or a New Hampshire Red to me. I'm glad you found her and I love the name

Update: Bought a coop for her today. I hope she likes it better than the doghouse.

So far she has been super quiet with spunk!
