Oh I forgot about limes! Yeah I was cookoo for the limes at first. I had HORRIBLE morning sickness until 19 weeks and limes were about the only thing that helped. Quartered with salt. My husband thought I was nuts. As for aversions with this pregnancy... chocolate at first, but I'm over that now
and meat. I'm having a heck of a time keeping most meat down but especially bacon. Ugh.
with my first I worked for a daycare and had to make breakfast I HATED the smell of toast and eggs... omgoodness... anything smelly now, BM's, trash, wet dog, lol stuff like that... eww and yesterday MY DH made quesadillas and burnt them alittle, that made me leave the room LOL
DS#2 chicken wings OMG I could eat them by the truckload. I had a standing order at the local pizza place every night at 11:30 (when DH got off work) I got a cute gift basket delivered one day. It was from the store that had the order. they called one night to confirm the order and no one answered. and the same for the following night... so they assumed I had the baby...LOL
DD- fruit... any fruit I could not hold anything else down i was so sick i was in the hospital on and off for a month... DD today LOVES fruit
With my twins it was Orange Juice....gallons and gallons of OJ, buffalo wings and broccoli
With my last DD chocolate......wings and broccoli
Food aversions....... with twins...yogurt...It took me a long time to eat it again.
Last DD.... coffee...from week two, I couldn't smell it or even look at it. This is coming from a person that drinks a pot a day. Pure torture!!!!! And the other aversion ironically was Orange Juice. With the twins I would drink a gallon a day...kid you not! With the last DD it made me cringe just to look at it. WEIRD!
With DD #1... I craved bread, mostly because it's the only thing I could keep down. I also ate a whole bag of miniature Recess Cups once. That in itself isn't really weird, but I HATE Recess Cups. Can't stand them. With DD I couldn't eat meat for pretty much the whole pregnancy. I cooked a turkey for work's Thanksgiving food day. It was the most horrible thing I have ever done. My DD #1 still doesn't eat much meat, I find it really funny. Especially since....
With DD #2... All I wanted was greasy meat. I ate meatball subs at work, which really amused my pod-mate. He and I sat together for years and he was there for my first one where I couldn't eat anything really. I bought Steak-Ums from the store and fried them up in a pan then put the whole greasy load on sub rolls with provolone cheese. If I could have licked the fry pan with out burning my tongue I probably would have. There was nothing I couldn't eat with Violet. To this day she eats all kinds of meat, but getting her to eat veggies is a battle.
My mother says between the two of them they would be hell on a pot pie!
With both of my girls I had to change from an electric toothbrush to a manual and change my toothpaste to cinnamon to keep from being sick every time I brushed my teeth.
