Hi all!
We had some rainy, windy and warmish weather this weekend, so I started a fair amount of seeds and took some cuttings of rosemary and peppermint.
Seeds: Amish paste, Atomic Grape and Black Krim tomatoes; yellow, red, orange, purple and black sweet bell peppers, Corno di Toro and Marconi peppers; habanero, buena mulata, scotch bonnet, and Thai bird's eye hot peppers; Swiss chard (bright lights), broccoli, tatsoi, bok choi, thyme, summer savory, purple, Genovese and thai basil; borage, dill, fennel and a tray of mixed seeds for sprouts (broccoli, cress, arugula, spinach, peas).
In the garden, the chives, garlic chives and green onions are still going strong. I have a few bulb onions and a few garlic plants left. The asparagus hasn't started yet, which is somewhat concerning; it's usually a couple of inches at least by now.
I don't know if I mentioned this, but I'm also planning to make part of my shed into a bigger coop this spring. It has an open area that I plan to enclose and predator-proof. I've never built anything big before, so I'm excited and a bit intimidated, as well.
