Ya. If he doesn't get one up this year. I might have to suck it up and put one up. More $$, but so is two full days, in the cold restringing barbed wire and do new ties. A herd of hungry cows and calves can push down and through a barbed wire fence when they see lush green grass and an orchard on the other side.
A good box goes a long way. Pigs, no respect for anything.
especially the little ones. They think they can just run through anything. And of course where the little ones go the bigger ones follow. But a good box fixes that (Mostly) I’m just thankful it’s the piglets and not pumba that don’t respect hot wire 
I have the oddest luck. Pomegranate and figs I can do, hibiscus too but roses, not in a life time
I don’t do anything fancy so maybe a light and a heat mat would help

I’m not the over achiever. It’s the wild petunias that won’t die even though every thing else has been killed by freezes. Grass, canna lilies, bananas, pumpkins, roses, trees.
