What did you do in the garden today?

bee hive stuff is in the workshop. Will start that one on tuesday. I order my bees on the 14th.

Garden is still too sloppy to get in and work. So maybe Friday I can get out there and hack at some weeds.

I am too, but not in the traditional way. I have serum sickness, which is actually an auto-immune reaction to proteins. Symptoms don't show up for 5-14 days after exposure, so sometimes I don't know what the heck I came into contact with. However, I know any kind of venom or anti-venom are definite triggers. And there is nothing to stop the firestorm I have to go through. At least with stings and bites I know it's coming.

Bananas blindsided me at age 44. I mean COME ON! One day fine, next time.....grrrr.

I look at the hundreds of these and I’m just awed by the fact that I started with just one tiny one about 3 years ago.

I think the one I got from Walmart was maybe this big.

Thats so sweet, but our winds are so high here unless staked beyond words, they tumble. I want hollyhocks in the worse way too.
