What did you do in the garden today?

Morning -26 here .

We are at a balmy -6F this morning. Wind chill -15 F but at least we can look forward to the warmup coming Sat-Wed. Of course, snow and freezing tonight, up to 3” so school kids might have Friday off too depending on how icy the roads are.

My mignonette strawberry seeds are up to 19 sprouts! I'm liking these Strawberries, thumbing their noses at this Polar Vortex and sprouting well ahead of the expected 30-40 day germination window. Now hopefully we can keep them healthy so they turn into actual plants that produce edible strawberries.

Well, not IN the garden, but while waiting to get there, I found this kit in a box I was unpacking - I think one of my kids wanted to learn embroidery, but didn't get around to it. Given the recent cold weather, and the even more recent polar vortex where everything was mostly shut down, I had plenty of time to do this kit, and watch a variety of series on tv.

But, wait! Now that I'm posting the pic, I see I forgot one item - the bow! LOL, I guess I need to actually complete that last part!

The picture on the front of the kit on the left. My work on the right. Yes, I changed a few things, it was a bit drab and the purple cherries were weird since nothing else was a "fantasy" color. And, it needs to be ironed!
