Mud season is my least favorite.

With you all there I detest mud right now we are just frozen ground
another member here showed to place a few screws up through the sold of her boots
make easier to walk on frozen ground I have a shot pair of boots I did to it

I just wear yaktrax in the winter when I need too.

The temps finally dropped below freezing and this morning the mud is frozen. So much easier to walk around. The forecast for mid-week is for more snow and freezing rain mix. I can tell that Spring is on the way.

its been a beautiful day here sun shining so cleaned chicken coop repaired some damage to it ,made another perch in covered run ,theyve got one each now .chopped down dead ferns put on compost heap ,found a rat tunnel so blocked it up .going to get some wood chips next week outside run terrible also need some new fencing might have to wait until next mth for that ! now my back is paying the price for all that exercise worth it though,hope its nice tomorrow get some more cleaning up done .

We're having a bit of a wind storm here. Can't do much outside again. It is sunny but cold. Give this a few days and I'm sure it will blow over the Atlantic and whip some winds up for you @skwarksy.

We picked up about 7 inches of snow here love the look of it better yet no need to go out
not near as cold as it was had to warm up to snow quite beautiful if we do not have to drive in it and we don't

we don't seem to get much snow here like we used to but other parts of the country do we do seem to get a lot of rain though and I,m sure we,ll get the winds from across the atlantic ,still signs of spring are showing ,snowdrops flowering, buds on the trees even got some young dandelionsfor the chickens today ,life is getting better .

We have never had huge amounts this is about it but always around this time of the year
it has turned allot drier here than it use to be also

Planted some dwarf trees around the coop

As you can see, the place is a mess.
Impatiently waiting for spring!
