What did you do in the garden today?

I finally made it back here. I was on the site an hour or so ago but my internet went out for awhile. Yes, I am really sick of winter. It started getting cold mid-October and it's still going. We finally got a more normal snow overnight. So what did I do in the garden today? I shoveled a path to the chicken coop at 6:30 am. I'll break out the snow blower after lunch to clear my driveway. My "garden" plan for the day is to re-pot my Meyer Lemon tree, and my Peace Lily. I'm stocked up on starter trays and dirt so when it is time I can start my vegetable seedlings. I might start a few leeks indoors to get a head start on them, but it's too early to start anything else this week. Think Spring everyone!

I transplanted the Meyer Lemon to a larger pot. Hope it survives the transplant shock. The peace lily, OMG it was huge. The previous owners left it as a house warming gift along with an African violet on steroids (still need to address that one). The peace lily was divided up into two large pots. It should be fine, gotta love Miracle Gro! I looked at the weather forecast for next week and it looks like a nice thaw is coming. Yay! I'm hoping my garden gate is released from the ice and I can get some plastic cover on the bed where I'm planting my peas. Spring is on it's way, I just know it! :ya

I picked a bunch of Rattlesnake green beans and Cherokee wax beans, a few tomatoes, three eggplants, some broccoli shoots, and jalapenos. Pretty happy with today's harvest!
