A friend gave me some “Magic Molly” purple flesh and skin fingerlings starts. So for giggles & grins I’ll throw them into the backside of my dirt pile.
Perfect BBQ potatoes. Microwave them first then olive oil & seasonings...crispy & creamy Yum stuff :love

Okay new milestone here have BC marans eggs I was incubating, my Silky the one I named mud she is black has gone broody left their eggs in there for 2 days tonight took the ones from the incubator alive all but two but that is of 8 so 6 carried to Mud pulled all banty one by one replacing with the marans eggs as I went she held her skirt up till I was done then settled on them for the night :bow

Thanks @jerryse. I didn't know they had one specifically for that. I'll check it out. It's really windy this morning with temps around 32F. Hopefully the wind will die down a little this afternoon. My rosemary seeds are starting to sprout. The only seeds I'm waiting on now are the jalapenos. The tomato seedlings have their secondary leaves now. I may transplant them to a larger starter container to let them get a lot bigger before putting them out in the garden. Last year I had a lot of slugs so I'm going to be more vigilant this year.

How can we tell? We like the good insect eggs.
You can look it up on the internet. A lot of Universities have sites for identifying all sorts of things from bird calls to gardening and even identifying bugs and their eggs. If you would rather, contact your local extension service and ask for their help in identifying bugs and their eggs. There are also sites where you can purchase beneficial bugs for your garden as well. Good luck with that.

High of 65*today. Got windy after 3:00p. Wore shorts after lunch.
Yay! Asparagus is coming up! I leave the first couple Spears from each crown to go to ferns/seeds. I’ll reseed some of last years next week.
I’m supposed to be transplanting Irises.
The whole “hands & knees” thingie is just a green light for me to procrastinate.
I cleaned out another flower bed. Reseeded my snap dragons that were in it. Threw up some janky fencing.
