What did you do in the garden today?

Get a pry bar that can also pop nails
That's what I was using, although the pry bar is a small one. I thought about it and if I can't pry this one apart I can cut it in half and cut the excess wood away and use the scrap wood I have on hand to fill in the gaps. I have 4 pallets and I should be able to build 4 raised beds with only having to purchase a little extra wood. I just don't have the muscle I had 50 years ago. After I get my rooster separated tomorrow I need to fence the garden and build at least one raised bed for my leeks. Today was kind of bust because the scattered showers turned into a downpour. But at least I don't have to shovel. LOL! Today it was 62F, tomorrow it's supposed to be 40F. I love Spring!

So in addition to getting weird about bugs, I feel like a weak old woman right now. I'm almost finished my rooster bachelor pad. I was cutting the last piece of wire to hang and it started raining, more than a sprinkle so I thought I would start breaking down the pallets in my garage. I couldn't pry the boards apart. I really hate to buy wood for my raised beds when I have all these pallets left over from the wood stove pellets. Is there any "magic" to this?
Yes they make a deck/pallet buster pry bar . I will see if I can find a link .

Well now given Texas weather, sometimes it's "what did your garden do to you today" as in 80s yesterday, 43 last night and 38 coming tonight.

So we covered all of the baby tomatoes we'd just set out. For three days, hopefully.

LOL.

I AM BEAT! It took me an hour to take the wood out of the stall walls and clean the floors so that we could swap two walls. OMG. I forgot how HEAVY those things are! OC It didn't go smoothly, so it took DH and I another 3 to get them apart and then moved, and put back together. THEN i had to move feeders and dutch doors.

BUT it's DONE and it was sunny and 55 today to boot, and DRY so a great day to work. The chickens were able to run amok, the garden is warming nicely and is no far weed free. The winter rye is progressing nicely and greening up.

I earned every bruise today! LOL.
