What did you do in the garden today?

So far I trimmed some bushes, made some structures for my vines, which are in pots. Used wild grape vine to twist it all together and harvested the leaves while I was at it. Dolmas tonight! Yum! Need to weed eat again, rain tomorrow and I'm NOT going 2 weeks like I did last time, the weeds were horrid.

I just noticed, when I was spraying pots, my daughter wanted to spray a couple too. Both are two tone, one says MOM and one has her name. You're seeing the "M". She had fun with it! Now I want one from the grandbaby. :D

Are the shaped like a ‘Cinderella ‘ pumpkin? Is it a grayish almost a greenish blue?
I don't know what they're called, but the amish around here sell at a local produce store, the eating pumpkins are a dusty faded dark tan (hard to describe) and mishapen, but cut them open and it's the best sweet melon smell ever. Anyone know what it's called?

What are dolmas?

The pumpkin has a more reddish orange tone faded to tan.

Dolmas are cooked meat, uncooked rice and seasonings wrapped up tight in grape leaves, stuck in a pot, covered with water and a can of tomato sauce and boiled. Much like stuffed peppers.

Welcome back to gardening season (for most)! Just what was needed to shake off winter the funk! Planted my prestarted tomatoes and peppers in the garden this weekend along with my cantaloupe zucchini and squash seeds. Already have harvested my two first rounds of spinach and kale will be ready really soon. Bean , cucumber and beet seeds and strawberry and lavender plants I planted a few weeks ago are coming along well.

Sounds like you've been busy and had some great weather to work in!

Mmmmm, dolmas! I haven't had those since I started working at home.
