What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. We got a real good soaking rain yesterday evening. Thank goodness for that. I suspect there may have been some overnight showers as well. Did my morning pea picking. I have 2 lbs. in the refrigerator and I remembered to make ice so I can freeze those peas today. I think I will pick the rest of the lettuce either tomorrow or Tuesday. This is the best crop of romaine I have ever raised. Apparently they like being planted with peas. But the butternut squash plants want to take over so the lettuce needs to be picked. The tomatoes are doing well. I have mini tomatoes on the cherry clusters and on the small slicing type tomatoes. There is a male squash flower starting to bloom along with the developing squash. Buds starting to form on the zucchini. And the cucumber plants have finally woke up and started to spread out. The poison ivy on my hand is clearing up and a little spread to one side of my face. It's not so bad. Benadryl is my best friend. I'm hoping to get some flowers planted today and a few other odd chores out of doors accomplished. Have a great day everyone, and stay cool!

Thanks for the reminder! I forgot to feed the squash. Will get on that later.

BYC gltiched on my phone, so I saved and went to the laptop.

I've picked up some sinus' bug, allergies hit me hard this time of year. Hay season. Mold in people's AC units. They can't smell it, but my sinus' find it.

Hacking, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, and I have a deep sultry voice....LOL. It's always the same time of year too.

I'm Sports Director for a major sporting event here, and I'm always fighting this plague, forcing my eyes to focus to participate. Oh well. At least it's not a snow shoveling competition.

B'ah Humbug.

Hope you feel better @WthrLady. Summer colds are bad. I just finished planting flowers when that old rhododendron was. I need to get a piece of sod or two to bring the grass around one side so it’s wide enough for my garden tractor to mow. I’ll be planting some of my daffodils in this little garden spot as well. I need to come up with a sculpture idea to hide the trunk. Any suggestions are welcome.

Planted some tomato plants, weeded, had the puddin scared out of me by a field mouse that decided it wanted to make a home in my garden without asking me first...the usual

:yuckyuck:lau:lau Have had that happen to me as well, lol.

I like stacking stones on trunk stumps :)
The previous owner left a bunch of yard ornaments like little fairies and frogs which are cute, however some of the neighborhood kids have boundary issues and I really don’t want to attract them into my yard. My yard has more holes than a golf course from the bunnies, chipmunks and groundhog. A little treacherous walking.
