What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners :frow

It's a beautiful morning but rain is headed our way again. We need it terribly so I'm happy for it.

Enjoy your day all!

I picked some more cherry tomatoes and a few green beans. I mowed ( with the push mower because the riding lawn mower is blocked in by my hubby and his friend's stuff) the area by the mailbox so it doesn't look like an abandoned property!
The tree guy called and they came by and cut down 2 of the 4 trees. They will be back either Saturday or sometime near the end of next week to take down the last 2 trees.

I have apple skins cooking on the stove so I can get apple juice to make apple jelly.
I also need to make more salsa but that will have to wait for another day.

I had a meeting today with the rehab place in regards to my mom. They said they expect her to move back to her apartment in assisted living sometime next week!!
She goes back to her surgeon tomorrow. Hopefully he will say that she is able to attend my son's wedding in 3 weeks!

Great news for your mom! I hope she can attend the wedding, I sure wouldn't want to miss something so special.

Guess I need to keep my day job, someone gave me an ID I am comfortable with over at cactiguide.com on their forums. helocactus setispinus related to post#16677 I created an account at cactiguide.com and it is common in cultivation heck ebay for it starts around 5 dollars plus shipping. I didn't win the lotto:that least it is pretty.

edit-- morning was spent cutting grass for compost clippings, the barrel is now full, yesterday we had 0.5" of rain and grasses I had mowed yesterday are standing 6" tall today.

The doctor visit WAS GOOD news!! She can go to the wedding. He basically said she could do whatever she wants. She does have to keep her leg wrapped until the drain hole scabs over and he said NO FALLS! :lau
