What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. Looks like the first real storm of the winter (actually it's still Autumn for a few more weeks) is heading our way on Sunday afternoon. The original forecast was around 6 inches of snow, now they're saying 12+ and not stopping completely until Tuesday morning. I really will get gas for the snowblower today. I try to avoid grocery stores right before a storm, but I need garbage bags. That's how we pay for our garbage collection. We buy special bags. I started decorating for Christmas yesterday. The most challenging part of the decorating is re-positioning the plants in the sunroom to accommodate my Christmas tree. It's been a bit blustery here for the past few days. I did let the chickens out for about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon, but they were done with it and went back into the run & coop. Will try again today. I know this weather system that is heading for New England is blasting through the mid-west so please stay safe and warm. Have a great day!

Morning Gardeners just cold out no rain again today cold smiley.png

nice and 50 degrees, but the winds are picking up and heading for 50-60 mph. But at least the snow this time will only be an inch or so.

Nothing going on in the garden. The day lilies are in little pots in the garage. The violet on the kitchen table has been trimmed and watered.

Guess that's it for the growing things. LOL.

Poo has been shoveled. Chickens walked. Working on DHs home office. My job is almost done, but he has to put his stuff away. Then I'll start on tearing apart the bathroom.

We've had rain, rain and more rain. It started on Thanksgiving and has continued on and off. The high today was 55. Yesterday and the day before were VERY windy!! I spent a good part of today picking up and burning downed branches. The next 9 days are supposed to be in the mid to low 50's through mid to low 40's.
with low's in the high 20's up to 38.
