Yesterday I put in some pumpkin seeds, and planted out my front garden, it's nearing the end of summer but I figure they've got enough time to put roots down before the frosts and I'll have lots of colour in the spring, I might even get a winter crop of pumpkins if I'm lucky.
Today I will finish planting out and try to figure out what's eating the strawberries, every time one ripens I go to pick it and it's it bites out of it!!

I never understood the while gardening thing till we bought a house and I got chooks, it's quite therapeutic,

where on this earth are u located? Down under?

Nothing much yesterday since I had way too many father and husband duties to attend too. I truly love the family I have. Last week and Saturday though I got some time to get one of the planters set in the ground and leveled. The second one has proven to be more of a PITR than it should have been but with some good weather this week (I hope) I should be able to pull the framework back out of the ground and reset to level. I am going to have to add in more supports at either end of the planters and have already gotten the wood for it. Once these guys are leveled up I'll seal the insides, put in the plastic liners and begin the plumbing. After that it's grow media, seedlings and finally the picket fence around the pond. The big grey thing in the background is the same kind of container that houses the pond, I'd planned to use the second one but decided against it after encountering a couple of issues so it is now for sale locally. The sandy spot behind where the pond is now is getting a watermelon and cantaloupe plant and our blackberries.

Pictures. (Yes I know it's a mess right now but I'm getting there)
