What did you do in the garden today?

First time seeing this thread.

We just moved one of our garden boxes and I ordered seeds. I'd like to order herbs but not sure where. All the stores are practically closed in my area.
Welcome to the thread. You can start the herbs from seed just like everything else. Try the major seed companies. You can even get plants online from places like Burpees, Stark and Bonnie Plants to name a few. Any gardening question, just ask away.

Finished the duck run and coop! Gonna have to tweak the roof because it sags in the middle since I went cheap on the supports but otherwise everything is looking good!
Rain comes back tomorrow so I’m gonna spend the day resting, finally.
Checked the garden and the seeds I had written off started sprouting. We have peas, radishes, and kale coming up. First round of seeds are going in the starter tray on Tuesday.

OH I wish. These were my Swiss razor scissors. They're probably tucked between some mystery layers of fabric on the shelves.

Grocery must be low on eggs. Neighbors called me because their son called them for eggs.
Maybe I should put up a sign to sell eggs. I was thinking of hoarding them. LOL!

Our local public libraries in the city have them for the general public to use. They simply pay a fee on a per gram basis of the plastic. Programs are even done from home and sent to the library, material selection is done online, and the library emails you when it is ready to be picked up. (OC not NOW, since the library is closed - but they do have curbside pickup for books you have set aside online.)

WAAAAY to far out of town for any kind of food delivery here. WAAAAY to far.

We don't get delivery here either. Heck, we don't even have a stop light! :lau

My husband's branch follows the same protocol. Not all libraries can afford them so we are fortunate! Y'all still have curbside? Wow. At the last 'big' meeting a lot of employees expressed concern about being in contact with the public. So the county public health officer nipped that in the bud. Now everyone is on standby and will be doing virtual work and/or assigned to county offices which lack essential personnel.

And if this weather ever lets up, we can start working together in the garden again, which is a rare treat! But for now, we're more focused on conserving wood and keeping an eye on the chickens. Last year was our biggest loss to sickness and predators. My babies deserve a worry-free year and warm spring!!

That's what sister said. I still don't get the run on the grocery stores. Food supply is fine. Limits have had to be placed BECAUSE people are hoarding. You can still go to the market and the feed store hardware store, gas stations, pet food stores, medical appointments while on lockdown.
The other day, a gentleman drove 50 min up here (to our town) just to get toilet paper. Then today, we had tourists in line for pie, and the sheriff scolded them several times to go home. People are ridiculous with this hoarding nonsense. On the flip side, I bought two juicy steaks, two rolls of toilet paper, brownie mix for my daughter, and spirits for hubby and I. As one of my co-workers wished me on Friday...I plan on having a "corona free virus weekend" with BBQ and paper of the toilet variety!

No the city 45 minutes away has curbside. We don't have a library, a town, or a village. We're just out by ourselves. So forget about a stop light. HA!

Well the dry weather Was nice while it lasted but the rain is moving in. Tuesday will be dry but a good amount of rain for Monday and Wednesday as of right now which I am not looking forward too. I was able to get the lawn mower tuned up this weekend and transplanted more of my seedlings into bigger pots. Maybe luck will be on my side for getting some more planted on Tuesday but I'm not going to count on it quite yet! Hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

PA shut down non essential business and enforcement begins tomorrow. The past week, I have been to Aldi twice for a few things here and there. I've been surprised both times including this morning. Other than a limited amount of paper supplies, the store was near full and it was hard to tell we are having the problem we are having. The county I live in is the epicenter for the virus in PA. Lots of people walking around the block and such but traffic on the roads has been very limited which makes the normal 30-35 minutes commuting time a solid 18-20 minutes depending on traffic lights. I have far too many where I live!
