What did you do in the garden today?

I buy a bamboo glove found the first pair I have a real problem my hands are so small..
These fit better than super and my dexterity sucks from arthritis but can pick up a screwdriver
garden tool...
@karenerwin I would use my old standby dish soap and a damp paper towel downward motion

@TropicalBabies is that ginger, like you eat ginger? I have never grown it, it can't overwinter in the ground here. Though I do understand there is a farm in MA that does a crop every summer, but they pull it in the fall so it isn't as hardened on the outside. Its pretty!

@Sueby No different kind of ginger. We have all sorts of imported varieties of ginger here. The eating ginger is not that attractive, just a leafy stalk and uneventful flower.

I wish i would have realized that there was hanging Lobster Claw Heliconia behind his shade house. Beautiful treat.

Stock photo from etsy below. Just crazy stuff. My side of island is to dry to grow these lovelies. I'd be fighting to keep a miserable plant alive... so i just visit.

Been MIA on this thread. I have a question.

Where do you buy your seeds? And do they have oats, barley and wheat?

Looking to be proactive and learn to make my own chicken feed if the need arises but mostly to start gardening and being a little more self sufficient.

Thanks!
When I get more land this is what I wanted to do as well. Let me know if you find somewhere that is good.

How are the JG's?

Just went out and checked out garden. Three of the cucumbers dad planted have tiny yellow squash. LMAO guess he mixed up his seeds.

Got 6 heads of broccoli and tested my son's carrots. They are good.
No worries. It happens. I got really excited when I saw an impatien sprouting after just a few days. I’m not sure what is is but it’s definitely not a flower. Where are you. I haven’t had any luck with broccoli.
