What did you do in the garden today?

Just walked the garden, no watering and only harvested a few green beans. But did take some pics of the pepper plants and my tomatoes finally starting to turn. Not too hot today...only upper 80s.

Is there anyone else here who hopes to win in the free China seed lotto?

I haven't gotten one yet. But the media is being hysterical over it. Honestly randomly sending seeds to people is a simpleton strategy. They should be targeting folks like us and use google/FB analytics like any good state sponsored attack does. It costs less like that.

If you do get seeds check your credit card statements. I received unsolicited playing cards, one or two at a time that looked the same as the envelopes the seeds are coming in. Apparently this is a scam and they make charges to your credit cards.

I have received china post shipments in the past as I will order knock offs from time to time, for lens covers or other non essential Canon camera pieces of plastic. They aren't dubious and I have yet to have a data leak from one. DHGATE.com is one of my more favorite ones.

These were not purchases I made, but unscrupulous and unsolicited charges made to my credit card. Please don’t be one of those people who don’t believe it happens because it didn’t happen to you. I received a number of these mailings and that matched the number of charges made to my credit card. Nearly $1000 worth.

I'm not one of those people. I assume since things like this have happened to both and probably all of us on numerous occasions we all watch our banking statements. I had to change cards just for clicking on a cnn sponsored add and subscribing to the motley fool newsletter there would be an unsubscribe option. Nope that card had to be canceled and reissued. Living the dream. Oh and the amazon.com hack in 2014 or so, yeah that hurt for a brief moment but I check my statements daily. Someone wen't crazy ordering apple products on my account for a while. But me and my bank were faster.
