What did you do in the garden today?

Thank you all for telling me what you are harvesting in the Northern Hemisphere! It inspires me to go on with weeding, digging and planting down here. There's a cucumber seedling just breaking through the soil this morning, so I hope I remember about the Listerine when it is old enough to need it. I must put some peas in the ground today before the season gets too hot for them, and probably some carrots right after I decide where to put them. Honestly, it's not the growing that's tricky. It's finding the spaces to grow in!

Hoping the garden doesn't mind the cold days coming up. It will probably trigger the tomatoes into a serious slow down and will shut down the garden I'm sure. Lows in the lower 40s. Gargh!:barnie

102 tomorrow and 58 for the high on Tuesday. and of course the chickens have started molting. HOW DO THEY KNOW TO DO THAT?! It's going to get cold next week, let's go naked!!!!

Just wiped Sally down with some doggie deodorizing wipes. SHE LOVED IT. I think I'll give her a shower in the driveway tomorrow. (We have hot water out there, don't worry I won't chill her.) That way she'll be nice and clean going into the cooler week.I don't mind the smell of hound, but the smell of DIRTY hound is unnecessary. LOL. She hasn't been washed for at least 6 weeks. :sick

Got the area we call "The Copse" weeded" :) and some PREEN put down. Finally. I was messing about with chickens in the spring when it should have been done. At least now hopefully I won't have to do it next spring.
