What did you do in the garden today?

It seems to be ok this morning but thanks for the tip! I didn’t know a teabag would do that.
It has amazing healing powers :lau
I used it right after having wisdom teeth taken out, then there was no swelling, and I went to school the next day.
It also helped to stop a bad knife cut.
And also helped a make a swollen nose after an accident not swollen, the next day, no one even notice anything wrong.

Pics from this morning now that it’s light out. Today is supposed to be nice so will do the weeding in the shade garden when it warms up. My Mom gave me the pitcher for Christmas so I’m using it for a vase, not flowers from my garden but thought I’d share anyway. The artichokes are really taking off!

Do you have any tips for growing artichokes? This is my first year growing them! Yours look amazing!

I know that all too well 🤢
I hope it heals up soon for you! You dont think you may heed stitches?
No it’s a chunk missing so don’t think stitches could be done. It’s not a big chunk, but it’s sliced off completely just above the corner of the nail on my index finger on the thumb side.

Water them deeply and regularly and fertilize every two weeks during the growing season. I put rabbit poop and worm castings in the holes before I planted and side dressed with a little more poop before I added hay as mulch. We are very dry, I’m in the desert, so you may not need mulch depending on your climate. I will start fertilizing with miracle grow or Jobes next weekend and do that every two weeks through harvest. If you don’t have rabbit poop then you can just use the liquid fertilizer throughout the growing season and they’ll do fine. Water is what helps them plump up and not have fibrous leaves. Your first year the flowers might be kind of small but they should still have meaty leaves and hearts. You want to harvest the flowers while they are still closed, particularly in the middle.

Morning all.
@igorsMistress OW!

I'm a mess today. I went to bed at almost 1am, and woke up at 330ish for whatever unknown reason, and slid right into a panic/anxiety attack. That spiraled a while, if you've never had one, they're such a joy. A battle between your rational mind saying there is nothing wrong, and the irrational one saying that everything is wrong. Then I get the shakes for about an hour as all the adrenaline and lactic acid in my muscles works its way out. Holy crap.
Today I get to be achy because of it. It's like running a marathon.
I think the change in the world has finally caught up to me. Took me long enough, eh?

All of the holiday stuff was put away by Friday afternoon.
I think I'll go work on the loom a bit and maybe put some bread in the mixer. No idea. I need to get up an moving though.
Have a great day all.

@ChocolateMouse ya, I know. It's been a lifelong issue. The day after just seems to suck out your soul. Like standing on the edge of cliff, blindfolded, not wanting to move so not to make matters worse. But when in truth, getting up and doing something, getting out of your own head, helps. It's a battle.

Cold and windy today. Big storm rolling through on Tues/Wednesday.
