What did you do in the garden today?

I keep puttering around my garden, adding plants to this bed and that one. Really excited because my corn and bean are popping! Made plans for my strawberry bed and my potato bed...now I just have to till them up and plant them.

Just noticed today that two of my tomato plants have flowers starting and my sage has finally started popping.

What is your favorite rose, in a zone 4 ?

Supposed to be a sunny day so I'm hoping to get all my seedlings transplanted to the gardens today! I also have to deliver some seedling sets to neighbors and some other friends. (We always start more than we need, so we can donate them to others since we live in a somewhat economically challenged area.) I finally have my Persian Buttercups sprouted as well, was worried because I got a late start with them this year but they are doing great!

Yesterday I planted more peas and made a trellis and planted cantaloupe. Other than that, not too much more than watering.

What is your favorite rose, in a zone 4 ?

My favorites are the floribunda's. I also had a climbing roase that I layed down and covered in leaves every winter. It did pretty well.

A few of my tomatoes have flowers too!! Yippee!! My heirloom Tennis Ball lettuce is coming up in the Thomas Jefferson bed as well plus we survived yet another freak late freeze last night and I found two more spears of asparagus coming up from last years crowns. Starting to wonder why my four foot tall peas aren't blooming yet ... hmm ... and thrilled that my parsnips actually sprouted for me.

Still haven't gotten a thing moved to the garden, but its beautiful out today so fingers crossed -that will get done today! I also have to transplant some persian buttercups for my neighbor, and take some cuttings from my bottlebrush shrub. Hopefully I can get this all done today!
