What did you do in the garden today?

My husband is usually the early seed starter in the greenhouse. I should let him know what we want. I usually just plant direct when frost is gone. I’m so excited spring is coming. It’s been a long Winter. Tomatoes 🍅 he usually starts. I start mixed greens and arugula outside. This year I hope zucchini and cucumbers do better. Last year had to buy jarred pickles. Maybe I should start a batch myself. :)

Dumb question. Do you need to resign in to your router?
I'm sure they had you do a full reset already ,right?

Yes, I did do a reset. One issue is that the router will turn on (button is a mechanical push in/out), and light is on at the “on” icon. Then after 2 min or so, light is off but the mechanical button is still pushed in (on position). Of course, it’s not like I really paid any attention to this fact prior to not having internet today, so maybe the light would always do that (turn off)...I dunno. I can’t find the manual, but maybe I’ll look in a couple more places as we try to keep manuals by the item or in a single container (like for appliances, etc). Maybe it got put with another manual.

On my desktop, it recognizes the Wi-Fi and says full bars, but Internet won’t work -tried Chrome and Safari. On my phone it does not find the Wi-Fi router at all. Laptop is very old, so I’ve not opened it up today.

More snow this morning that we've had yet this season. Hubby said roads were slippery and visibility was poor this morning on his drive in to work. So thankful I don't do that anymore. That kind of driving makes me a nervous wreck.

Just gonna hang out in the house today. I'll take the dog for her morning perambulation and take the chickens their afternoon snack. I really need to do some cleaning. No, on second thought, I really want some cleaning to get done.

I know how you feel about the cleaning chores. I have long since given up hope that my husband will help. Once in awhile he helps with cleaning out waterers but mostly not. I do all the throwing straw around here. One day it would be nice to see it all done. I am not fortunate enough to have kids around for chores. How about you?

fortunate enough to have kids around for chores.
That can be a looked at both ways... lol. Must check after the kids to verify things are done, so it’s not a fully reliable system. Of course, right now I’m inside and kid did go out to let out the chickens (I didn’t have to), but also reported that the two eggs that were laid this morning were “waaaay too dirty” so they threw them out...

Good morning all. Here's a simple idea for your router @Acre4Me, did you unplug it then plug it in again? When I was on Hughes net I was directed to do that from time to time when the wifi "disappeared." We are supposed to get snow starting this evening however, they are only saying maybe 3 to 4 inches of snow. If that's all we get it doesn't pay to break out the snowblower. I would rather rack up some much needed cardio instead. So when your temperatures dip to uncomfortable "coolness" @NewBoots try wearing a hat. That should keep you a bit warmer. Also, long johns are a girls best friend in the winter here in New England. The temps were 16F earlier this morning and I was outside tending the chickens in my light LL Bean jacket which is about the equivalent of a lined hoodie, gloves and my usual chicken sloggers. When the temps get below 10F I do wear my winter coat and boots. Still plugging away at my slow remodel. My contractor let me know that my new exhaust fan will be here next Monday. The mini blinds I ordered for the two rooms that face the street arrived on Saturday. I hung the ones in the living room and they look great. They are metal and custom fitted so not the cheap, Walmart stuff. They also keep the "draft" from the windows down. These are double pane windows but you can still feel the cold on really cold days and night. After a quick trip to the feed store this morning, I'll work on removing some more wallpaper. I'm hoping to have it freshly painted by the end of the month :fl. Still waiting on my Gurneys order.

@WthrLady -thanks for the link. I’ve tried all but one suggestion on there, and no success. Need to figure out the one remaining suggestion.

@Wee Farmer Sarah, yes turned off reset too. It is true that turning off tech and rebooting every now again is very helpful.

it might be salvageable if I knew the ins and outs of this type of thing, as it still has power. Might wait for spouse to be available tomorrow since spouse set this system up, but isn’t available today at all. Maybe spouse has a trick up their sleeve.

Not too cold here- it is 36F. But overcast. No snow expected.
