What did you do in the garden today?

I know this may sound a little strange to a lot of you cluckers but today I'm preparing for a freeze. Insulating pipes, zipped up the greenhouse, mulched some tender plants, etc, etc, etc. Being on the Texas Gulf coast, We don't have enough cold weather down here to "be prepared" every winter so we do it when necessary. Supposed to get down into the teens sometime next week (if it gets there, it will be the first time in about 20 yrs ) so I'm doin what I can to prevent a disaster. Wish me luck!
Good luck! That’s how we do it here too, got the stuff in case need it but don’t use it very often.

Bought one 2 years ago myself. Think I paid about $250 for it. Flimsy frame! The tie off strings that are supposed to stabilize the GH in winds ripped off in the first good wind. used some conduit and tubing anchors trying to stabilkize the frame some more but still had to cut holes in the fabric to tie the frame off to T-postsfor more stabilization but then the hoses started getting bigger. Now I have duct tape on the holes. I removed the cover after all danger of frost passed last spring. Have it back on again now. May have to make another cover next year.

Not really in the garden but been puttin citrus juice in the freezer. Did about 25 lemons today. Juice 'em, put juice in ice trays in the freezer, fill quart ziplocks with cubes, use 'em as needed. Have about 10 bags of cubes and 10 plastic quart jars of OJ already and more oranges to go. "Fresh" juice is always better than the watered down stuff from the store.
Still have a lot of oranges and will be willing to give some to anyone willing to pick 'em, in Brazoria county.

Can someone tell me hth my birds managed to get round worm in the middle of winter, with temps this low./?!?!? AND to top it off I can't find WAZINE anywhere for sale.
I have some dry dewormer in the freezer, and I'll use that and hope for the best, but dang !
Look on Amazon they have it
