So question - why do tulips not flower? They were here when I bought the house. The greens come up every year, about 1/4 of them actually produce flowers. They're in the front bed that's mulched on the west side of the house so they don't get a ton of light, but get much more this time of year before the trees leaf out.
I'm not a person to spend any time on flowers - if I can't eat it it needs to be self sufficient (unless it's a Dahlia!) so needless to say, they don't get any attention. I'm thinking I'll just dig them up & get rid of them. They're kind of like weeds to me if they don't flower & I won't spend any time on them but I could possibly, maybe, feed them. Maybe.
