Loved the animated really did .. I have declared war on the rats like no less than 12 traps between the coop and garden now

Yup, here's Bitey:

She'd best mend her ways since DP and I have discussed culling a few poor workers. Plus when she is off the nest she's started causing trouble with the lower ranked birds.

I remember as a very small child floating in a float we had at the lake & a snake wrapping around my leg in the water!

I don't think I would want to eat a rat, but if I trapped or killed one that had not been eating poison, I think I would throw it back into the chicken run and let the birds tear it apart and eat it.

I would if there wasn't other meat available. And supposedly that Ratx stuff claims to be completely safe, no carry over.

The next best idea is a good mouser cat or dog.

Nicky has caught at least a couple of rats from the neighbor's place. No sign of them moving to our place so far (knocks on wood).

Well I put Bitey in jail today, I really hated to do it and she clearly hates it too. Do I just leave her there for a few days then let her out and see if she's still crazy?

My birds do not eat them maybe feed less they will ..
I bought black rat traps fill with peanut butter have caught 9 or the 11 dead that way but also used the poison.. Only 1 dead that way, 1 but the dog snow at least she delivered it.

Rat zappers work great! No Poison and quick feed em to the hawks and vultures

We use the battery powered ones too. FUnny though, but the hens won't touch the fried mice. But the trapped ones, yes, we toss them to the hens. (No poison here, just peanut butter.)

Didn’t get to work in my garden today , had to go get my first vacc. Been holding out cuz didn’t want to get it. But I’m feeling vulnerable now that the CDC has come out and told everyone who is vaccinated that masks are not required in Pubic places. In the past, They have also said that masks are worn to protect others and that there is no information on weather vaccinated people can still carry and pass COVID. None of this makes sense to me. So what, now we don’t care about each other? I intend to stay home as much as possible again this year again and wear a mask snd practice social distancing when in public until the science is more reliable. To care for myself and my fellow humans. But I digress, I did go to my favorite nursery while in town and picked up some supplies as well as some geraniums for a pop of color in my gazebo! So it was a worthwhile trip. I’m going to get back out there tomorrow, however as time goes on this afternoon, my arm and neck are getting pretty sore from the vacc. Fingers crossed that’s the extent of a reaction.
