What did you do in the garden today?

Help has arrived! 🐓🐥
The A-Team indeed! That picture is awesome in so many ways
Sorry- this post was supposed to go in Coffee Club- shows how tired I was. :idunno
I hear you, slept in this morning but I've been in the garden and with the livestock till 2pm and just stopped for lunch and coffee and it was DP's delicious minestrone with garlic bread. We're going to a BBQ tonight and I still need to make the quinoa salad and I just want to sit back and digest.

Hello all! Been a bit MIA lately because I haven't had the energy to get much done...found out I'm pregnant and the first trimester this time around is NO JOKE. Been trying to just maintain things the best I can, but all cool project ideas are on hold. The gladiolus bulbs are getting ready to bloom though, and one of the rain lilies bloomed this week! Pretty happy about that, since we had a bit of a gap after the irises were finished for the year.
Hey! Congrats! We're on our second and I swear this time it has been a rougher go, but also preparing for a move, so double whammy. Take good care of yourself!:celebrate

found out I'm pregnant

Congratulations!

Garden today: Well, I was out all day, long enough to get sunburned in western Ohio sun! Guess I need to remember sunscreen now.

I still have a ways to go with the garden, but made a lot of progress. And its my first day feeling noticeably better, so that helped.

Beans - nearly all have sprouted! These are beans for drying.

Baby Robin late afternoon update: One has it's eyes open!

Wow, I'm FINALLY caught up. I've been adding herbs (basil, cilantro, and parsley) plus flowers (nasturtium, marigold, and assorted wildflowers) to my straw bales and raised beds. Also planted okra, beets, more beans and carrots plus a mystery assorted area with all the seeds that have spilled into my shoebox holding the seed packs. Happy summer everybody!

I have been working so hard all weekend around the farm. I'm hella sunburned and I hurt my Achilles tendon. It didn't rip but it burns really badly when I walk so I'm worried it will. My DH did that about 8 yrs ago. It wasn't pretty and he needed surgery to correct it.

I got the hoop house covered with insect netting. Not pretty but it's functional.

I also put in the new asparagus bed and transplanted a few ferns. That wasn't fun because the roots were really bound up AND covered in fire ants.

Lastly I took a major gamble and dug up the concord grapes to move them up on the fence row. DH thinks I should have left them alone. These are the grapes we thought burned down last winter. I wanted to move them because they are in an area that floods a lot because of the storm drain issue. They tap root resisted coming out so I think the roots were definitely damaged by the move even though I tried really hard to be careful. About an hour after I moved them they looked very wilted. I watered them really well so I'm hoping against hope that they perk up. 🤞

I also got the two Live Oaks planted that I purchased from the nursery. These are about 5 ft tall and looked very healthy so I REALLY hope they make it.
