I had one with eggs all over it last year & I watched it for a couple weeks, it didn't die or move or eat the entire time. I don't honestly remember what happened to it, but I thought it would have happened quicker! LOLYes! I put the leaf/worm/eggs back under the shade in the potato plot - the hornworm wasn't moving much, and it certainly wasn't eating. So, It can fulfill its new destiny as a nursery.
Can you thaw it just enough to use a melon baller?
Good idea, but I just did a half a jar so I'll probably just use it as is & do the new stuff in little piles from now on. I don't think there's enough to bother, but it's good to know how to not do it!I'd like to know this too, I haven't started long term storage of my garlic yet.

I treated the powdery mildew again with milk, it helped but didn't fix the issue a few days ago. I have some sungold tomatoes turning red. Gave away a bunch of cukes to co-workers.
I'm preparing to make a low sugar jam tomorrow & will throw in a few jars of pickles too - sliced for sandwiches.
