What did you do in the garden today?

@Sueby, I tied my shower curtains down with zip ties last year. I used the tiny 4" ones; they were plenty long. Yeah, not reusable, but they worked really well. I think half of my run is put together with zip ties!
Thank you! My plan is gorilla tape along the edges & then a hole punch & zip ties. Normally I just use screws & washers on the big coop, but this is going on a cattle panel so no walls to screw to. I think zip ties are gonna be it!

I do have metal/reusable zip ties but they are a pain. Plus I can't see em to get em off without my glasses so they're useless to me, lol.

Here's the up-cycled bean arbor, sans climbing twine, which I will install in the Spring.
They are just old pop in wood window screens from Habitat. I used hinges on them and used them as walls for the chicken grow out pen, but I'm done with growing out chickens (I don't like it. Took me 8 years to put my foot down on that.) Then I simply attached them atop the panel.

I still need to add one vertical post in the center of the panel, but the biting flies and pirate bugs are in full force today. PLUS it's over 80 and humid, so it can wait. And I'm not sure how a broken thumb is going to feel about a sledge hammer and beating in a steel post. But it's going to have to suck it up, I have work to do.

Today, planted the last fall starts - cabbage, kohlrabi, beets, and chard. Need to separate and move the onions that volunteered from seed. Still have peppers in the garden and picked 4 cukes from the plant that refuses to slow down. Put down some fish fertilizer before the rain starts tonight. We are supposed to get a quarter inch, adding to the half inch on Monday, means I won't have to irrigate till hopefully next week.
