I have a mill . Planer and joiner also . I tried the chainsaw years ago . Slow and a lot of work . I bought the mill to build my cabin .

I'm jealous! I've had thoughts of buying wooded property and falling and milling my own lumber to build a home. How cool! Not realistic for me with my job and location at this point in life though.

DH would LOVE to have a mill. May I ask what make/model/cost? I don't have any idea if this is a realistic want or just a dream.

I think I’ll skip the Jerusalem artichokes @BReeder! I have enough GI issues now and having to control invasive rhizomes is not my idea of fun.
